A door that has been up since the house was built, an opener that groans, a panel nobody stocks anymore: tell us what the door is doing and someone from our team calls you back.

What you get

What you get in McCormick Ranch

1 request covers the spring, the opener, the cables and the panels, and the price is agreed before a tool comes out. McCormick Ranch is one of the largest planned communities in Arizona, developed over many years, which means the door on your street may not be the door on the next one. Tell us what it is doing, we go over the choices, and the job is booked once you agree the number.

  • A door that lifts by hand again, on the right spring for its weight.
  • A track that runs quiet, with the rollers and hinges checked at the same visit.
  • A straight answer on whether a panel can still be matched.

The doors in McCormick Ranch

McCormick Ranch is one of the largest planned communities in Arizona, and it sits in central Scottsdale. Because homes here date from different years, the housing does not share one door. The plans vary, with a single door on some and 2 or 3 bays on others, and the springs behind them differ just as much: extension springs alongside the tracks on the lighter older doors, torsion springs on the heavier newer ones.

That mix makes a McCormick Ranch door job its own thing. A supplier may still carry the profile for one street and not for the next, and a panel that looks right at 20 feet can be a different stamping up close. A detached or alley loaded garage also means less headroom above the door, which narrows the opener choice. If your community has an architectural review, a color change or a full-view door goes through it before an order is placed.

4 questions

What people ask us in McCormick Ranch

Still have a question? Call (747) 243-2089 and say what the door is doing.

My door is original to the house. Can a panel still be matched?

Sometimes. If the model is still made, a section can be ordered in the same profile and finish. If the profile is gone, or 2 or more panels are damaged, a new door is often cheaper.

Is an extension spring worth replacing or converting?

Replace it if the door is light and the rest of the hardware is sound. A conversion to torsion is the better long term answer on a busy door, and it runs $400 to $800 by the published range.

Why is the door so loud now?

Worn rollers, dry hinges or a trolley that has lost its carriage. Grease cooks out of the moving parts in a Valley summer, and what is left is metal on metal.

Do you cover the whole community?

Yes, all of it. Give us the cross street and the color of the door, since the same plan was built with more than one door style.
